Congress Hall

My husband and I stayed overnight in a beach front room at Congress Hall for an anniversary getaway in March.  The renovated vintage hotel was stunning and the rich history of this beach front town in Cape May was interesting.  We enjoyed the beautiful ocean vista from our room.  I was pleasantly surprised we could open a tall window with the lower half opening as a door and step right out onto a covered porch overlooking the beach.  I felt like we had stepped back into time with the lovely craftsmanship you just don't see anymore.  The room was decorated with soothing colors of sea and sand.  The bed was extremely comfortable with large, plush pillows, and we woke after a restful night of sleep.  I enjoyed a long soak in the antique style soaking tub.  Breakfast in the hotel dining room was luxurious and delicious, especially the fruit crepes.  I look forward to returning again in the warmer months to enjoy the outside amenities, the spa, and a dip in the ocean.
